Video is a powerful and versatile component that is seeing more and more use in local theatre. Manipulating and cuing video for the performing arts is sometimes seen as a stumbling block for those companies wishing to use it. However, beyond being an industry standard for audio, QLab 3 is also a powerful video control and cuing software. It’s also very affordable, with great rental rates if you aren’t going to do enough to justify purchasing a license.
In this 5-hour course, top local designer Andrew Mayer will walk you through the basics of manipulating and cuing video with QLab 3. Starting with some basic content (video and static image) files, you’ll learn to:
Play with the qualities of the file
Deal with multiple outputs
All within QLab 3!
If you’re looking to get started with video design, this is just the course for you.
Please note that we will not be covering anything to do with generating content from scratch. That’s it’s own topic and class! We will only manipulate pre-existing content.
